How to Rehydrate Cigars

Old, vintage cigars may be expensive but the ROI (return of investment) can be high. Unfortunately all cigars loose their humuidity and dry up after some time if not cared for properly. When this happens it is of vital importance that you take measures and leran how to rehydrate cigars in a way that restores it back to its original condition.

Rehydrate your Cigars
There are several different methods you can use to rehydrate cigars that have gotten to dry. First and foremost any cigar lover should invest in a cigar humidor. Humidors need recharging to be able to keep the moisture level in the cigar and if you forget that you might as well have kept the cigars in a drawer. With that said, a good humidor is the best and safest way to rehydrate any cigar.
Another great and cheap method is to put the cigars in plastic bags. Within a day or two you should see the cigars changing color and getting darker.
If the cigars are completely dry you could try putting them in a plastic box with a flat bottom. Place some water on the bottom and sticks of cedar on top of the water. Place your cigars on the cedar and put the lid on. If the water touches the cigars they might get ruined so make sure that does not happen.
You will have to wait up to four weeks to rehydrate cigars that are really dry, so be patient and enjoy them when they are back to their former condition.
