The stainless steel bowl is lined with a nonstick coating.

The stand, ring, temperature control and bowl can be assembled and disassembled easily. The entire fondue pot and the removable accessories are dishwasher friendly. Fully assembled, the electric fondue pot is six and a quarter inches high and the bowl is eight and a quarter inches in diameter.

Here is a guide on how to use any fondue pot so that you can familiarize yourself with basic preparations such as chocolate, cheese, oil and broth fondue. Here’s a step by step guide:

  • Place the fondue pot on a level heat resistant surface
  • Make sure the temperature control dial is off
  • Plug the temperature control into the receptacle on the pot
  • Attach the power cord plug into the control before plugging it into your AC outlet

Once your fondue pot has been set up correctly you may start preparing a chocolate fondue by heating the chocolate pieces and cream. Stir in all the solid ingredients and use some van der hum liqueur to give the chocolate flavor. This is just an example of a flavor and you can actually choose freely what to add. Any kind of fruit is excellent to dip in chocolate fondue.

Types of Fondue

Savory cheese fondue – in order to make a savory cheese fondue you need to sauté finely chopped vegetables at around 5.5 and after adding your liquid ingredients turn the temperature up to 6.5. Liquids such as wine are one of the most popular choices. Once the mixture starts boiling reduce the heat to around 4 and then add your shredded cheese. You can use cheddar, Gouda, sweet milk and blue cheese.

Broth fondue – Chop up a selection of different vegetables such as carrots, onions, potatoes and various others finely and cook them on a medium heat. Add either meat, vegetable or fish stock. Prepare your skewers by placing chunks of meat and mushrooms on the skewer. Place the skewers in the broth until cooked.

When making hot oil fondues use the fork ring. Heat the oil on 7.5 and once heated reduce it to 6.0. Prepare bite size blocks of meat such as beef, chicken, pork or lamb. You can also prepare an array of different sea foods. Be careful when making oil fondue as the oil gets really hot.

Once you have finished using your Cuisinart electric fondue pot, turn the pot off. Unplug and allow the contents to cool off before moving the pot. Disassemble the parts and put them in the dishwasher. I hope it tastes!
